In the mid seventies, Italian tennis players Panatta, Barazzutti, Bertolucci and Zugarelli and team captain Pietrangeli go on to win the first Davis Cup for Italy.
Before the final, some political prisoners are freed and the Italian tennis players are welcomed with full honours. Finally some light is being shed on the "red shirts" issue.
